It feels like such a long time ago now but to celebrate the launch of my website I held a little social media competition for a free family portrait session and the lucky winner was Jess. Well, after multiple lockdowns, both of us moving house and stormy days, on Sunday, we finally managed to get together for a socially distanced family session in the beautiful little market town of Louth.
The great thing about winter is, that despite the miserable weather, that when we do get a crisp sunny day, golden hour hits at around 3 in the afternoon which makes it a very family-friendly season for beautiful photographs!
Our original plan was to go to Hubbard's Hills, but as soon as I got there it turned out that everyone else had had the same idea for the weekend before Christmas! So instead we popped to the slightly quieter Westgate Fields nearby and had the treat of being able to see a herd of deer in the woodland nearby instead.
It was a pleasure to photograph Jess, Ben, Oscar and Iris, they went along with all of my crazy ideas of pulling faces and eskimo kisses, and the fun they had really comes out in the photos.
